Regardless of the device you choose, 3G wireless broadband requires strong reception. As such, you may not be able to get Internet access in remote or rural areas. However, a simple web check allows you to determine the coverage availability in your area.
The 3G cost usually includes a one-time set-up fee, which is followed by a pay-as-you-go rate or a fixed monthly charge, depending on your choice. Be aware that some 3G providers will charge you extra if you go online abroad, you reach the monthly limit or other instances, so make sure you read the fine print and learn about your ISP’s charges before you use the Internet continuously to avoid unexpectedly high bills.
Other factors you have to consider when choosing 3G communications provider are download speed and download allowance. The slowest maximum speed available for 3G broadband is around 1.8Mb, which performs as well as home broadband connections. Some packages come faster than 1.8Mb and are ideal for users who regularly download movies, watch streaming videos, send and receive large files, and perform other network-demanding online tasks.
